Workshops offered at the Encaustic Art Institute in April, May, June, July and August 2024 are listed below. Douglas Mehrens’ workshops are held in the new workshop facility on the Encaustic Art Institute/Museum of Encaustic Art campus in Cerrillos, New Mexico.
Douglas Mehrens, founder of the Encaustic Art Institute, the Museum of Encaustic Art and the online Encaustic Arts Magazine – has been working with encaustic/wax going on 40 years. This knowledge and experience give Douglas excellent insight and sensitivity to work with artists of all experience levels. Douglas is encouraging and supportive of those who are brand new to using encaustic/wax, as well as collaborating with and providing new insights to artists with more extensive experience and skills working with encaustic/wax media.
