Artist Statement:

The Gulf of Mexico is well populated with oil rigs for extracting the precious raw material utilized for many applications. Many of the industries which use this material have now become known as hazardous to our health and the well being of the earth. Hopefully one day soon we will have learned to live with cleaner and healthier options and these pollution-contributing behemoths will become skeletons waiting to crumble to the bottom of the ocean.
