Artist Statement:

Mindscape is a dystopian view of a charred environment, not quite land, not quite water. The image was inspired by the Hopi word of koyaannisqatsi, meaning “life out of balance” depicting how the human race has disassociated with nature. This image was created using encaustic medium, plaster, graphite and acrylic polymers.
