Artist Statement:
This abstract encaustic painting features five circles, each representing nests and embodying themes of shelter and fragility amid our changing climate. An owl subtly emerges within these forms, symbolizing the delicate balance of ecosystems impacted by global warming. Through layers of wax and textures, the piece explores the interconnectedness of species and their habitats facing environmental threats. Transient Havens reflects on the effects of climate change on wildlife and underscores the importance of environmental conservation. By depicting the owl within its diminishing sanctuary, the work conveys a narrative about the challenges faced by our natural world.
