Artist Statement:

Tears is my impression of glacial melting, one of the most prominent manifestations of global warming. The image suggests the white skies of the arctic, hills with diminishing ice, and a far greater expanse of ocean than would be seen if not for rising temperatures due to our exploitation of the earth’s resources.
