Artist Statement:

The tiny organisms among us are the building blocks of our collective strength. By protecting the small, we can protect the larger whole. This painting signifies hope that through mutual respect for both the large and the small, a new balance for all to advance will be created. Encaustic wax is the perfect medium as it begins in a solid state, becomes molten, and resolidifies into something new.
