Artist Statement:

In Firestorm, our planet is depicted in the background, watchful and waiting. The reds and yellows of a firestorm, lifting off of the sustainable earth underneath, are the center of the composition. This destruction is wrought by rising temperatures, wildfires, drought, and human neglect. Beneath the firestorm, the earth waits for the renewal that is to come. A symbol of hope and cleansing.

This is a call to us. A plea. A reminder that the damage is not distant or abstract, but immediate and deeply personal. Global warming is not a future threat. It is our present reality, and all of us are called to do our part in the survival and renewal of our planet Earth.

Real change will require a global effort—but it starts with each of us. What will you do?
