The bog landscape reflects resilience at a planetary scale. Though often overlooked, bog ecosystems quietly absorb and store vast amounts of carbon, acting as natural buffers against climate change. Their persistence over centuries speaks to a slow, steady form of resilience that is rooted in accumulation, balance, and the unseen work of holding excess in check. In the painting, the layered reflections and saturated surfaces suggest this depth and quiet strength, a landscape that sustains itself while stabilizing the broader environment.
