Artist Statement:

This an encaustic photo transfer of the moon rising over the mountains. I took the photo myself. I have been working with acrylic paint on unstretched canvas, so I decided to see what would happen if I did encaustic on unstretched canvas. The moon shines on a barren earth. There is still beauty in the world.
