Artist Statement:

My work Forest Devastation is representative of what is happening in many parts of world because of global warming. Global warming is a complex issue, accelerating forest degradation worldwide. Rising temperatures and prolonged droughts weaken trees, making them vulnerable to pests, diseases, and wildfires. Forests that once thrived are shrinking, unable to adapt to rapidly shifting climates. Species are migrating or dying off, and carbon absorption is plummeting—turning vital ecosystems into carbon sources instead of sinks. The loss is ecological and emotional: a fading chorus of rustling leaves, silenced birdsong, and vanishing shade. To reverse the devastation and protect the forests what is required is a mix of global policy, local action, and individual choices.
