If you’re curious about encaustic/wax work, check out some examples from our talented member artists. You’ll get a visual representation of the beautiful art we showcase. And if you’re an artist yourself, consider becoming a member of the Encaustic Art Institute! You’ll get access to exclusive events and workshops, plus the chance to join a thriving community of passionate artists.

The Encaustic Art Institute is made up of over 250 member artists. Our members are based primarily in the United States, with members from Canada and other countries. Membership is open to artists of all levels of experience, as long as the work they show with us has a primary element of encaustic/wax.

We created this virtual gallery to showcase our members’ work online and allow the artists to show/sell their work during the COVID19-mandated closure of our brick-and-mortar gallery. This format continues due to the tremendous response to this option to view and purchase art. As you can see, there is a great diversity in style, use of application methods, and combinations of media, with pieces available in all price ranges. EAI members retain 70% of the sales for work sold through the EAI Member Gallery.

Purchasing artwork online:  artwork for sale through our website has an “Add to Cart” button located near the image of the work for sale, usually just below the image or description of the artwork. Click the “Add to Cart” button to make your purchase. After you click the add to cart button, a “shopping cart” will open on the page with a brief description of the item and the price – for example, it will likely say the artist’s last name if it’s a painting purchase, it may also have the title. The price in the cart will match the item – please make sure that the cart matches what you intended to purchase. Any shipping charges will be reflected in the cart’s total price.

If you change your mind or add a painting to the shopping cart by mistake, be sure to click the red trash can icon in the cart next to the item you wish to delete from your cart. Verify the item(s) in your cart are correct, then click the yellow “Checkout with PayPal” button located at the bottom left side of the shopping cart to proceed to the payment portal. You do not need to have a PayPal account, you may pay by credit card, PayPal, or by check.
