ARTIST STATEMENT

This piece is an exploration of shape and texture within a layered, concave circular form. The overall round shape is repeated in smaller circles placed in an arc across suspended, textured strips of encaustic saturated paper. The design suggests cycles of movement and meditation on spiritual and celestial influences.
