ARTIST STATEMENT

It amazes me that even after many years of working with encaustic, I am continually surprised by the process and outcome. This piece began using encaustic oil sticks, blending the colors to find the right way light was captured. I saw designs on the board that needed to be followed…and I kept going. It became a study in meditation as I continued to work on the series. Where was the path taking me? Where could it be taking you?
