ARTIST STATEMENT

At a pivotal moment in my life, I recognized the need to step fully into what I felt called to do: create art. My work is a reflection of personal experience, emotion, and spiritual awareness. This artwork reveals my emotions in a very raw and unfiltered way. It is not just about conflict or intensity, but a process of uncovering and reclaiming myself. The emotions I had just could not be contained anymore, and creating gives my feelings somewhere to go instead of keeping them inside. The tension of who I was and the person I am becoming is uncomfortable, but it is also where real self-discovery happens. Being vulnerable and exposed has been a powerful step in authenticity by allowing all my imperfections to show. Even when other parts of my life have felt out of control, painting is helping me find my voice again. I am becoming someone new, more real, more honest, and more grounded in what I actually feel and need. Inspiration comes in many forms, sometimes happy, sometimes sad, but it gives a way to respond instead of suppress. The truth comes out visually, not perfection, but not hiding from what is real.
