Note: If you have entered only one piece, you will receive only one email from EntryThingy – the email will either say your piece has been accepted or was not accepted. If you entered 2 pieces and neither of them was accepted, you will receive one email notification from EntryThingy letting you know neither piece was accepted. And, if you have entered more than one piece and one has been accepted and one has not been accepted, you will receive 2 emails from EntryThingy. One email will show you the name of the accepted piece, the other email will let you know your second piece was not selected.

When you log in to EntryThingy to view the results, you may see “show to jury” or “submitted” as the status for your entry. Please go ahead and click to view your entry to confirm the juror results. You will see either “accepted” or “not accepted” under the image(s) you submitted.

JUROR  –  Tami Phelps

Juror Notes to Entrants

The invitation to artists for submittal of artwork for the 2025 “Global Warming is REAL” exhibition focused on efforts to confront global warming through not only raising awareness and education about the challenges we face, but also the growing efforts to combat them.

As the invited juror and a contributor to these exhibitions in prior years, inspired by the leadership of the Encaustic Art Institute/Museum of Encaustic Art in confronting this worldwide disaster, I asked artists to “bring it”. To challenge me (and others) to “reach beyond” a comfort level. You did it!

It became clear that passion was the common element in the submissions. I congratulate all who courageously entered this presently contentious arena. Mine is but one opinion about the strong array of art submitted. Please submit again next year when a new juror will have the pleasure of seeing your amazing art.

I made my decisions based on providing a balanced selection of categories of artistic presentation, aesthetics, and the required statements as they pertain to global warming. The number of pieces selected was also a consideration related to the space available for a presentation of a powerful, cohesive, and beautiful exhibition. It has been an honor to serve as this year’s juror, and see all of the precious gems entered in 2025 Global Warming is REAL exhibition. Thank you to the Encaustic Art Institute/Museum of Encaustic Art for providing us all with this important opportunity.
